Craiova, 28 April 2020 – TBI Bank understands the scale of the collective challenge faced globally. The bank is aware of the huge responsibility it has to ensure that people will still be able to rely on its support in complex times. The COVID-19 pandemic led to an extraordinary medical situation and health systems are facing unprecedented challenges in terms of equipment and medical workers.
TBI Bank donates 62,500 lei for the Emergency County Hospital Craiova, the main hospital in Craiova and Oltenia region, to cover unexpected medical needs and specific medical materials and equipment necessary to fight the coronavirus.
“The real heroes working around the clock in hospitals, fighting against the coronavirus, need all the help they can get, and it is impressive how society has mobilized to contribute any way possible. At TBI, we are aware of the pressure doctors are under in these times, especially in the smaller Romanian cities. We can only hope that our humble donation can contribute to taking some of the pressure off”, says Florentina Mircea, Executive Manager at TBI Bank.
TBI Bank underlines that the most important goal is to keep everyone safe, from customers and employees to their families and the overall society. In the context of COVID-19 pandemic, the bank has taken all measures to ensure a safe environment for customers and employees, including providing disinfectants in the new agency recently opened in Craiova, working from home for as many employees as possible and different schedules for teams who need to work in the offices.
